Travel, Tourism and Entertainment Services Department offers a two-year associate degree program called the “Tourism and Travel Services Program.”
Tourism and Travel Services Program
The aim is to educate well-trained, professional, and proficient youths who can work in English and in a computer environment, who can effectively use information and communication systems used in the sector, and who have adopted their professions as a lifestyle.
In the Tourism and Travel Services Program, students are intended to be prepared as qualified intermediate staff who can adapt to the dynamic structure of the tourism sector, have strong communication skills, a sense of service quality, cultural heritage sensitivity, and can work in tourism and travel services.
Graduates of the Tourism and Travel Services Program can be employed in travel agencies, tour operators, hotels, holiday villages, airlines, cruise companies, congress and event companies, municipal tourism departments, or publicly owned tourism enterprises. They also have opportunities to become entrepreneurs by establishing their own tourism businesses or offering guiding services.
The program aims to provide students with both the theoretical knowledge and practical experience required in the tourism sector. Language training tailored to the sector (especially English) supports students’ ability to participate in international tourism. Additionally, graduates of the Tourism and Travel Services Program can continue to related four-year bachelor programs at universities through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).
